Success Story: Former GM worker in Pontiac, Michigan

FranNet’s Mark Cory introduced Gary C. to CMIT in August, 2009.  Gary has worked in the automotive industry for his entire career.  Most of his career was spent with GM and working within EDS (Electronic Data Systems).  Gary moved with EDS when they became a separate company in 1996.  He stayed with them until 2007.  He was later employed by a German company, GETRAG where he was employed until February 2009.  This was the last transition for Gary.  Gary looked for employment for about 6 months and then he realized the more he was away from corporate the more he liked being away.  He began working with Mark Cory to find alternative solutions.

Gary worked for GM for 30 years.   He is an engineer by trade.  He has been a programmer, managing supervisor, auditor, project manager and business analyst.   He has developed and implemented software processes for systems within GM.  He is a team player and works well with his peers, coworkers and other team members.  He is very thorough and analytical and has worked hard to prepare himself for business ownership.  He has completed several classes on entrepreneurship as part of his due diligence.

Mark Cory was very helpful throughout the Discovery Process.  It took some time; a lot of time.   Mark understood Gary would need more time in the Discovery Process so he worked closely with CMIT.  They communicated regularly through each step in the process.  We are looking forward to working together.
