Some companies are just quicker than others, and in Greater Louisville, FranNet is considered a gazelle.
FranNet, an industry leader in advising clients in business ownership options and matching entrepreneurs to franchise opportunities, made the High Impact Portfolio as one of the top fast-growth companies headquartered in metro Louisville. The program recognizes FranNet as a “gazelle,” a company that’s grown at least 20 percent annually over the past three years.
FranNet, a franchised network of more than 120 consultants in 70 local markets in the U.S. and Canada, is growing even faster than the program’s benchmark: It has had four consecutive record-breaking years and in September 2010 was named to Inc. magazine’s “Inc. 500” after growing more than 800 percent over a three-year period.
“We are honored by this new recognition and especially pleased that it comes from a local initiative,” says Jania Bailey, FranNet’s President and COO. “The city of Louisville recognizes that we bring a lot of business here, both for our big annual meeting each October and throughout the year for franchisor and new associate training.”
The High Impact Program is a public/private partnership between Louisville Metro Government and Greater Louisville Inc.’s (GLI) ENTERPRISECORP. The newest companies selected to the High Impact Portfolio, including FranNet, were recognized at a recent ENTERPRISECORP event.
“Fast-growth companies are critical to the continued economic success of our region,” says Bobby Ferreri, Executive Director of ENTERPRISECORP. “These businesses are poised to lead our community in job growth over the coming years.”
As franchising experts, FranNet and its local associates are seeing more Baby Boomers exploring franchise ownership and also working with outplaced executives, which help fuel the system’s growth, Bailey says. “People realize the job market is really, really tough, and they are turning to FranNet for guidance rather than trying to figure it out on their own.”
