We at FranNet know new franchised businesses create local jobs but also like to see local media outlets recognize it.

We were pretty excited to open up the Toronto Star, Canada’s highest-circulation newspaper, on Saturday to see FranNet featured in not one but two articles!

And while few people are trading up to larger homes these days, the economy hasn’t stopped them from packing up or changing addresses – a boon for moving and storage franchises.

Sound statistics underlie our optimism. Recently, the International Franchise Association released an extensive Economic Impact Report that, using 2007 U.S. Census data on franchise businesses, carefully measures franchising’s economic impact in the United States.
